Hello Odysseus here. I just want to tell you more about my journey with my crew members. It has been a long and a tiring journey. I just got away from the cyclops, and now I am at Aeolia Island where the land of the dead is. This is where Elpenor and his spirit has found the dark.
He had died by falling of a ladder. He slept on Circe's roof, and he was coming down and could not see the long steep backward on the laddar. He feel from that hight and landed on his neckbone, and he buckled under and snapped. So he told me what he wanted me to do when I got home. He wanted to bury him.
He didn't just want to bury him to. He wanted me to fire his corpse, and all gear he had. Then he wanted my to build a cairn. Elpenor wanted to be buried above the breakers an unknown sailor's mark for men to come. Well I hope when I get done at the Land of the dead it will be the last thing that happens before I get home.
